Situation
• On-line slag analysis during melting process is not possible due to the
lack of a suitable analysis technique
• Control of slag composition is empirical, over-and underdosing of
additions and a extended process time has to be accepted

BFI solutions
• Slag characterisation by impedance spectroscopie
• Process oriented optimisation of slag control

Our services and facilities
• Measuring of electrical impedance and electrical conductivity
  of oxidic melts
• Melting tests
• High-temperature kiln (oxidising and reducing enviroment,
  protectiv gas operation)
• Quality laboratory
• Thermochemical equilibrium calculation
