Modern measurement technology is an indispensable part of production nowadays. It serves both to control and optimise process steps and to monitor and assure product quality.

Our work focuses particularly on in-process measurement in the field of steel production. We generally use optical techniques in this respect, since a contactless approach is almost invariably unavoidable. Complete system development by our institute guarantees optimum integration of modern measure-ment techniques in established processes.

  • Measurement of length, width, thickness, shape
  • Positioning and plant and equipment control on the basis of on-line measurements
  • Development and construction of dedicated systems for in-process measurement
  • Development and construction of special-purpose sensors and equipment
  • Development of new or enhanced measurement techniques
