BATTERY-OPERATED DISTANCE MEASURING SYSTEM
The AKKUBAM measuring system is a compact, portable, optical measuring unit with integrated data editing and storage capability. It has been developed to measure coke oven linings, but is an all-purpose system.
Two optical distance measuring sensors are arranged in a stainless steel casing in such a way that they measure the distance between the sensor and oven lining in opposite directions to one another.
To carry out a series of measurements, the system is pushed through the oven, in a heat-protective casing, directly behind the ram during the coke pushing process.
The measurement data reflect the surface contours of the oven walls along two defined paths. A series of measurements is programmed by means of the control elements located behind a protective cover. The measurement data are stored on a memory card for later evaluation on a PC.
