Situation
• Accumulation of interfering components (solids, metals) and acid depletion
  in pickling process baths
• Reduced plant and equipment availability due to
  bath disposal and replacement
• High demand for fresh acid; spent acid from continuous processes
• Unsteady pickling bath concentrations
• Accumulation of scale in the pickling bath
• Cost-intensive disposal of spent acids and sludge
• High water consumption in the cleaning brushes and rinsing zone
