Situation
• Quality of rolling emulsions decisive for product quality and productivity in 
   rolling-reduction processes
• Need to identify and avoid emulsion contamination during the production
  process
• High disposal costs for spent emulsions/spent oil
• Unsatisfactory state of knowledge about ageing-induced changes in
  emulsion properties

BFI solutions
• Study and modelling of emulsion behaviour

• Economical de-watering of spent emulsions/spent oils in a countercurrent
  reactor
