Concept of a neutron probe in the silo of the coal injection plant

Remocoal – Real Time Monitoring of coal composition in closed systems for fast process control at the blast furnace

Within the project the Pulsed Fast and Thermal Neutron Analysis (PFTNA) technology will be modified, calibrated and applied in a closed silo of an industrial pulverized coal injection system at a blast furnace for a real time analysis of coal composition. The aim is to adjust the coal injection rate near time and reduce the total reducing agent rate.
