SCI4climate – Scientific competence center for a climate-neutral and competitive basic industry in NRW

SCI4climate.NRW is a research project supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in connection with the IN4climate initiative to develop a climate-neutral and sustainable industry in the year 2050. The aim is to scientifically examine the technological, ecological, economic, institutional and (infra-)structural system challenges for NRW and the companies producing in NRW in the energy-intensive basic industry. The scientific work is carried out in close interaction with actors from industry and society and includes the development of studies as well as new conceptual approaches. In a transdisciplinary process with partners from industry and science, the knowledge of possible paths and their effects is to be extended to a climate-neutral industry.
