EvalHD – High resolution process data for quality assessment

Initial situation

  • Plant-wide quality databases exist at many steel producers
  • Data-warehouses are optimized for per-coil data access
  • For statistical analysis per-coil data aggregations are used
  • No efficient aggregation of inner-coil quality information possible

Working topics

  • Design and implementation of a dedicated HR data storage system capable of handling high-performance HR data access
  • Development of a modular software system for product quality supervision supporting web-based access to HR data
  • Implementation of this web-service at the industrial sites providing intuitive visualizations of the current production state

  • Through process synchronization of any kind of HR data
  • Accelerated root-cause identification of quality problems
